Welcome to our news section on the SBYC site. Our lastest social event, the Weiner Roast of the 2008 season, was held on Saturday night, September 20, 2008 at 7:00 PM. Virginia Sirgo, our Social Director, along with an able crew of helpers set up the tables in preparation for the evening event.  As usual,  Ginny wishes to thank all that helped prior to the event and those who stayed after for the clean up.

We had a good turnout of 40 young and old sailors for the event.  As always, the food was delicious and it appeared to me that all present had a great time. The evening was a little brisk; but, we were warmed by the camp fire.  Commodore Gary Lenhart opened the evening with some words of wisdom and we roasted the hot dogs. Pictures have been put on the site.
